“Building a Brighter Future for Furry Friends: Support PAWs Animal Charity’s New Centre in Delph”
Introduction
PAWS was set up by Sue Curran in 2007 to enable everyone to have a chance at rescuing no matter their age, location, or personal circumstance. After being served an eviction notice in February 2022 we have worked hard to fundraise to start again in our new home in Delph. With your help, this new centre will not only provide shelter and care but also pave the way for stronger animal-human connections and a brighter future for all.
A Haven for Cats and Dogs
We have been tirelessly working to improve the lives of animals in our community for years. Our supporters and volunteers’ dedication and unwavering commitment have led us to save over 1,500 animals since 2007. We want our new centre to be a haven for cats and dogs who deserve their second chance at happiness. There will be a kennel, a cattery and outdoor exercise space for both cats and dogs so we can rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome any animal who needs us. The UK rescue industry is in crisis with an estimated 250,000 animals enter UK rescues a year so we can’t afford to stay closed for any longer than we must.
Our New Rescue Centre
Our new rescue is not just about bricks and mortar; it’s a hub for fostering community engagement and education. PAWs aim is to organise workshops, awareness programs, and events to promote responsible pet ownership and to deepen the understanding of animal welfare. By fostering empathy and respect for animals, the centre will contribute to building a compassionate and informed community. We want to help keep pets at home as much as possible so the information and support we give to the community will help pet owners keep their best friends by their sides.
How Can You Help?
Supporting PAWs new centre is a collective effort that can create a lasting impact. There are several ways you can contribute:
- Donations: Every penny counts and brings the centre closer to reality. Your donation will directly contribute to the construction, operation, and maintenance of the facility.
- Volunteer: Your time and skills can make a difference. Volunteers are needed for various tasks, from fundraising to business management.
- Spread the Word: Raise awareness about our campaign by sharing it with friends, family, and on social media platforms. The more people know, the more support can be garnered.
- Corporate Partnerships: Businesses looking to give back to the community can consider forming partnerships with PAWs. These collaborations can be mutually beneficial and can help secure the necessary funding. Support from local businesses like Rough Top Cottage make a huge difference.
- In-Kind Donations: Goods and services can go a long way in supporting the centre. Consider donating pet supplies, construction materials, or services that can aid in building and maintaining the facility.
Conclusion
PAWs vision for a new centre in Delph embodies hope, compassion, and progress. By contributing to this noble endeavour, you are not just helping animals in need but also fostering a stronger bond between humans and their four-legged companions. Together, we can create a legacy of care and kindness, making our communities a better place for all its residents, both furry and human. Join hands with PAWs today and be a part of this remarkable journey toward a brighter future.
